Frequently asked questions
How do devices find each other?
Again Replay uses mDNS to discover devices automatically on your local network. Open the app on a camera and a screen on the same Wi-Fi or LAN and they appear to each other — no IP addresses, pairing codes, or accounts needed to start.
Which platforms are supported?
iOS, Android, macOS, Windows, Linux, and Apple TV (tvOS) — and they all interoperate as receivers (a screen with full DVR) on the same network. Transmitter (camera) mode is available on iOS, Android, and macOS only; Windows, Linux, and Apple TV are receiver-only.
Does my video leave my network?
No. Video streams peer-to-peer between your devices and never leaves your local network. Nothing is uploaded to a cloud. Only the optional account system for paid plans stores data — your email, billing, device fingerprints, and last-seen timestamps — never your video.
A device isn't showing up — what should I check?
Make sure both devices are on the same network and that your Wi-Fi or router isn't blocking multicast/mDNS (some guest networks and AP isolation settings do). Confirm the transmitter is actively streaming, then reopen the source list on the receiver.
How do the plans and billing work?
Free needs no account. Personal (one active device at a time) is billed through the App Store or Google Play. Business (multiple seats for venues) is billed on the web. Pricing is announced at launch and shown before you purchase.
